Behavioral Intervention Services (BHIS)
Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) are provided in the home by trained staff to help children and their families with behavior problems to function more successfully at home, school, and in the community. Children must have a mental health diagnosis and current mental health assessment to be eligible for services. Funding is provided through Medicaid Title XIX. BHIS services are currently provided in Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, Sigourney, Fairfield, Centerville, and surrounding areas.
Gender Specific Life Skills
A program to help female students age 12-18. Services are designed to help students better navigate life through improving school attendance, grades, social skills, and minimizing negative impacts. These services are funded by DeCat grants in Wapello and Mahaska Counties. Call 641-682-2800 for more information or to make a referral.
Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Services
Adolescent Extended Outpatient Program is designed for adolescents who have a desire to stay sober and work through individual roadblocks. to maintain sobriety. The program is individualized, but lasts a minimum of 6 weeks. Call 641-682-2800 for more information or to make a referral.
