Behavioral Health Services:

The Behavioral Health Department covers a wide variety of services including assessments, residential and outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and behavioral health intervention services for children. Each service is individualized and tailored to each individual's needs.

 

First Resources Corp. accepts Medicaid and private pay for all SUD programs. Referrals must complete an assessment to determine the level of support needed.

Residential Treatment Programs

Clients live in a supportive, encouraging environment providing therapeutic interventions to enable a person to live addiction free. Substance Use Disorder (SUD) residential treatment service in which professionally trained staff provide care and support as needed to rebuild one’s life. These programs are designed to motivate individuals to maintain sobriety in addition to the added benefits of individual and group supports. FRC specializes in providing residential SUD treatment services to men and women. The objective is to show measurable progress toward growth through: Extensive assessments that identify underlying barriers, goal development, individualized treatment and counseling, and reassessments to measure progress. Services offered to individuals 18 years and older.

FRC offers two levels of residential SUD treatment: 

  • High-intensity treatment (3.5) - a 30-45 day program with 24-hr supervision in which individuals participate in scheduled programming that includes community groups, 12-step meetings, relapse prevention, and a therapeutic approach to support recovery. Available at Hope House or Oak Meadow.

  • Low-intensity treatment (3.1) - a 30-90 day program, though length of treatment depends on the individual and level of care needed to continue recovery. Participants can utilize an itinerary to come and go from the facility, work or volunteer in the community, and participate in the treatment and supports offered to promote community re-integration. Available at Hope House or Oak Meadow.

As clients transition from residential care, a variety of outpatient programs can be incorporated for additional support. 

Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Programs

Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS)

This program is designed to assist children and their families get a better grasp on behaviors in order to function more appropriately at home, school, and in the community. A referral must be made by a mental health professional, and the client must have a mental health diagnosis. A BHIS Provider will meet weekly with the child or the child and the family to work on improving behaviors by identifying what may trigger the child, and learn new healthy coping skills in order to modify the behaviors.
